Pressure, and the Diamond You Cannot Yet See
When people first come to me after trauma, they often describe themselves as broken. I understand the word, and I also gently resist it.
Coal and diamond are made of the same element. What separates them is time, and pressure, and heat. The metaphor is not a promise that suffering is worthwhile — it is a reminder that transformation is possible.
Your strength is immeasurable, even on the days you cannot feel it. Let this be your companion as you find your way toward wholeness.
