What Forgiveness Is Not

Forgiveness is not forgetting. It is not excusing what was done to you, and it is certainly not a demand to reconcile with those who caused you harm.

Forgiveness is a quiet, internal act of setting down a weight you were never meant to carry indefinitely. It is choosing, for your own sake, to stop letting the past decide your present.

This is the work at the heart of ‘Healing Hearts’ — learning that self-forgiveness often comes first, and that from it, everything else becomes possible.
